A Letter from Stu Broyles, Regional Innovation Officer

I am honored to step into the role of Regional Innovation Officer and help lead the next chapter of growth for MDM2 and Arizona’s medtech ecosystem. MDM2 has already built a strong foundation for collaboration among industry, healthcare systems, researchers, educators, and innovators, and I am excited to build on that momentum with our consortium partners.

I come to this role with more than 20 years of experience in medtech innovation, product development, commercialization, and new business creation. Throughout my career, I have worked across the full innovation pathway — helping move medical technologies from early concept through development, market launch, and scale.

As we look ahead, our focus will be on creating measurable impact through stronger clinical engagement, workforce development, commercialization support, and industry partnerships. Arizona is becoming an increasingly important hub for medical technology innovation, and MDM2 is uniquely positioned to connect the people and organizations driving that progress.

I look forward to working alongside our members to expand opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and continue building a collaborative ecosystem that advances innovation and improves patient care.

Advancing Innovation Together,

Stuart Broyles

Clinical Solutions Forum

The Clinical Solutions Forum brings together clinicians, researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and industry partners to identify real-world healthcare challenges and explore pathways for new medical device solutions. By starting with unmet clinical needs, the forum helps connect the right expertise early—accelerating ideas that can improve patient care and strengthen Arizona’s medtech innovation ecosystem.

MDM2 is currently scheduling upcoming forums. If your healthcare system would like to partner with us, contact Stu Broyles: sbroyles@mdm2.org.
